4* HOTEL HOLLWEGER, St GILGEN am WOLFGANGSEE

LOCATION: The hotel has a lakeside location in the village of St Gilgen at the northern end of Lake St Wolfgang.

FEATURES: The hotel features a lobby reception, bar and lounge, restaurant and dining room. The hotel has its own lakeside bathing area, indoor swimming pool and well-being centre with various sauna and steam rooms (included in the hotel rate) and also offers a beauty and massage centre. Free bicycle hire is available to guests.

ROOMS: All 46 rooms are individually decorated and are ensuite with bath / shower, WC, telephone, Cable TV, hairdryer, mini-bar (suites only), most with balcony. Standard double rooms (25 m2) are offered with either a lake or mountain view (mountain view rooms are without a balcony) whilst all of the Junior Suites (35 m2) enjoy a balcony with lake view.

MEALS: Accommodation is on a half board basis with an extensive buffet breakfast and four course evening meal with choice of main course and daily salad buffet.

OUR OPINION: A great base for exploring the golf courses to the east of Salzburg in Austria's lake district.
